Blenheim Health Hub Unveils New Cardiology Unit Following Community-Led Holiday Campaign

The Blenheim Health Hub unveiled the Gift That Keeps on Giving; revealing that a community-led holiday initiative has helped bring a new cardiology unit to Blenheim; Ontario; significantly expanding access to specialized cardiac care for residents of Blenheim and the surrounding South Kent region.

The announcement was made during a public unveiling event attended by community donors; municipal leaders; and members of the media. The reveal marked the conclusion of Unwrapping the Future of Health Care; a December campaign that invited residents to remove pieces of wrapping from a giant Christmas gift on the Health Hub lawn through charitable donations.

Through the generosity of individuals; families; businesses; and community organizations; the campaign raised a total of $110,000. These funds will be used to help retrofit and equip space within the Health Hub to welcome the new cardiology service.

The Blenheim Health Hub is proud to announce that Capture Health; a cardiovascular clinic; will be establishing a new cardiology unit within the facility; with services scheduled to begin in March 2026.

Capture Health will initially offer a comprehensive range of diagnostic and consultative services; including 2D echocardiograms; stress echocardiograms; Holter monitoring; 24-hour automatic blood pressure monitoring; electrocardiograms; EKG or ECG; on-site virtual cardiologist consultations; and on-site internal medicine consultations.

The addition of these services will allow patients to access essential cardiac testing and specialist consultations closer to home; reducing the need for travel to larger urban centres; and supporting earlier diagnosis and ongoing management of cardiovascular conditions.

The campaign received early support from community partners; including the Blenheim Rotary Club; whose involvement helped bring the initiative to life and inspire widespread participation.

The new cardiology unit reflects the Health Hub’s ongoing commitment to expanding access to high-quality, multidisciplinary care for the South Kent region.
